I'm not a big fan of people wearing gloves around for the primary reason that you just don't pay attention to washing your hands as well when you do wear gloves so you know I don't think there's really a role for wearing gloves out in public. The face mask is a really interesting question so I think people are probably aware that the CDC last week and the public health agency of Canada this week did make a recommendation that people could be wearing non-medical or cloth masks while out in public as something that would be an additional measure to help with preventing infections being transmitted in addition to of course the social distancing or physical distancing we've been recommending. At the same time the WHO has come out with a statement saying that masking is really not as much utility in the general public and I think what that reflects is that there's just some controversy as to just how much this kind of intervention would actually help people reduce the transmission of virus and recognizing that we want to make sure that masks are available in hospitals and where we really truly need them and that the most important thing the public can do is maintain distance between themselves and other people while out in public.
